Environmental protection begins at the spring water.

Freshness you can taste

The cleanliness and authenticity of nature can be found in its purest form in the drinking water supply.  In Saalbach Hinterglemm, as guests of the Bachgut you enjoy fresh mountain spring water from our own four springs.

The springs were gradually joined together and are at an altitude of between 1,600 and 1,780 metres. The spring water is stored in an elevated tank made out of high grade stainless steel, suitable for drinking water, before it comes out of the taps in all our chalets, Alpine huts and suites.

Spring water at the Bachgut

From the mountain to the valley.

Until 2010, the spring water was only used to supply the Bachgut’s Alpine huts. With the building of the chalets, the Langegger-Kröll family decided to lay a water pipe from the spring down to the valley and the chalets. This investment really paid off as this now means that the whole area is self -sufficient in terms of its water supply.  Both water tanks each have a volume capacity of 30,000 litres. You can also taste this freshness as the water directly from the spring enlivens you when you're tired and provides well-needed new energy. Environmental protection on holiday in Saalbach Hinterglemm is this easy!
